Krista Kuskye, Photographer
The Lady Behind the Lens
Hello! Thank you for visiting the about me page. I have spent hours in the field researching locations to capture the best possible images. I am continually learning and enjoy experimenting with new photo techniques of which many have been featured in venues around the world (listed below). I have spent the past 17 years dedicated to photography. My high school darkroom class is what really lit the spark for my creative endeavor to express and document those special moments in time. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Indiana University South Bend. My collection of photos have been displayed in exhibits internationally and locally (see list of venue’s below).
The Smithsonian | Washington DC
US Department of State | Washington DC
The State Russian Museum | St. Petersburg
US Embassy | Muscat
The Colfax Cultural Center | South Bend
Artpost | South Bend
Carnegie Center for the Arts | Three Rivers
Midwest Museum of American Art | Elkhart
Indiana and Heartland Artist Gallery | Plymouth
Indiana University South Bend, Raclin School of Arts
I relish creatively capturing family, children, newborn, and senior portraits. I also enjoy taking business portraits for local businesses which includes branding, and events for those special moments. In addition to the described photo sessions, I teach locally at selected venue’s such as the South Bend Museum of Art and I offer private photography tutoring.
Fine art is another passion of mine including silver gelatin, Lomography, astrophotography, and a few other types of photography which you will find on my fine arts page. A few of the mediums I have worked on includes large and medium format film, as well as contemporary digital photography.
